High-Protein Cottage Cheese Bagels


Ingredients

  • 150 g (1 cups) Self-raising flour

  • 215 g (1 cups) Full fat cottage cheese

  • 1 Egg - whisked

  • Toppings - sesame seeds / poppy seeds


Preheat your oven to 190°C/170°C(fan)/375°F/Gas 5.

  • Blend cottage cheese in a food processor.

  • Add flour and the blended cottage cheese to a mixing bowl and combine

  • Use your hands to bring the dough together more and form into a ball.

  • Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 2-3 minutes.

  • Divide the dough into four and roll into balls. Poke a hole in the ball and carefully stretch our to make the bagel shape.

  • Brush with 1 egg and sprinkle over seeds.

  • Cook in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden, allow to cool before cutting.
